Firstly here we will talk about Refinery
So, basically refinery is a industrial installation where a substance is refined.
OIL REFINERY – Oil Refinery or petroleum refinery is an industrial process plant where crude oils are transformed and refined into more useful products such as
1. Petroleum naphtha
2. Gasoline
3. Diesel fuel
4. Heating oil
5. Asphalt base
6. Kerosene
7. Liquefied petroleum gas
8. ATF ( Aviation turbo fuel )
9. Sulfur
and so on…
CRUDE OIL CONSISTS OF
Carbon _ 83 – 87 % , Hydrogen _ 10 – 14 % , Nitrogen _ 0.1 – 2 % , Oxygen _ 0.1 – 1.5 % , Sulfur_ 0.5-6 % , Metals < 0.1 %
As metal- Copper , Iron , Nickel & Vanadium.
